Area Sales Manager Bavaria / Württemberg in the field (m/f/d)

Hermann Schmidt GmbH & Co KG is a family-run company in Essen with around 70 employees and is one of the most important suppliers to the German specialist wholesale trade for building services/sanitary and heating. Three pillars still form the basis of its success today:

The production of fittings and valves, export to the most important international markets and the function as a factory representative for German and foreign manufacturers of high-quality products for domestic installations.

Your tasks

  • Qualified and independent support for wholesalers and selected craft businesses
  • Targeted sales of our products through conviction and customer-oriented thinking in problem solutions
  • Budget and sales responsibility for the sales territory
  • Constant and structured observation of the market and competition, analysis of changes and development of proposals for sales management
  • Reporting and analyzing the sales figures achieved to the sales manager
  • Close cooperation with colleagues in the field and back office

Your qualification

  • Completed technical and / or commercial training
  • Several years of sound experience in field sales, preferably in the HVAC industry, also in direct sales to craftsmen
  • Sales personality with proven success in sales and customer development
  • Very good reasoning skills, based on a high level of technical understanding and a quality-oriented mindset
  • A high degree of initiative, independent and team-oriented working style, strong closing skills and confident communication skills at various levels
  • Good IT skills, especially in the use of MS Office programs
  • Willingness to travel (class B driver's license required)
  • Initial experience in hybrid selling is an advantage
  • Place of residence in the sales region
