Creates flexibility during pressing
The PRESS Steel V and PRESS Inox V press connectors in dimensions from 12 mm to 28 mm can now also be pressed with suitable drive machines and the system-compliant M contour.
Both systems are still covered by a 10-year warranty.
In regions where M contours and V contours are used, one fitting is now sufficient in the warehouse!
This not only saves money, but also storage space and reduces complexity at the same time!
The press connectors are made of unalloyed steel E 195 (RSt 34-2) material no. 1.0034 in accordance with EN10305-3 and are available in dimensions from 12 mm to 108 mm. An electroplated zinc coating protects against external corrosion. PRESS STEEL connectors are available with M-contour and V-contour.
The press connectors are made of high-alloy, austenitic, stainless Cr-Ni-Mo steel with material no. 1.4404 (AISI 316L) in accordance with EN10088 and are available in dimensions from 15 mm to 54 mm. PRESS INOX connectors are available with M-contour and V-contour.
Elastomers made of EPDM, FPM/FKM and HNBR are used to ensure the tightness of the connection. The non-detachable, permanently tight, positive and longitudinally force-locked press connection is achieved by cold forming the press fitting and pipe.
The standard sealing material used for the INOX and STEEL press connectors is EPDM (ethylene propylene) and is inserted into the press connectors at the factory. The EPDM and FPM/FKM sealing rings are provided with a contour in nominal widths of 15 to 54 mm so that a non-pressed connector (UVUD) can be identified. The EPDM elastomers meet the requirements of the W270 recommendation of the German Federal Health Office and are particularly suitable for drinking water applications.
Press connectors and sealing elements (O-rings) should be designed in such a way that unpressed press connectors in a completed installation do not leak during the prescribed and system-compliant load and leak test (e.g. TRGI – Technical Rules for Gas Installations, standard: G600 or TRWI – Technical Rules for Drinking Water Installations or in accordance with DIN EN 806-4). With the sealing element (O-ring) used, a pressure drop should be visible on the pressure gauge of the “pressure test pump” (manual pressure test pump or electric pressure test pump) used for the respective test during the prescribed and system-compliant load and leak test of the respective installed supply line.
As a specialist for press fittings made of metallic materials, we develop solutions to simplify the respective application and stock-keeping. For copper press fittings , we have dual certification for water and gas applications, i.e. the fitting can be installed in both gas and drinking water installations. Advantage: Wholesalers need one less application variant in stock, thus saving storage space. The tradesman also only needs one fitting variant on the construction site or in the vehicle. There is also no longer any risk of having a non-compliant fitting installed in the gas installation. For stainless steel and carbon steel fittings, we offer our Flexi compression for the V-contour as a special solution. Our fitting can be pressed with system-compliant pressing jaws with both V and M original contours up to and including 28 mm. Advantage: As a processor, you have the advantage that you are flexible in the use of the pressing jaws and do not have to check whether the correct contour has been used before pressing. In addition, our connectors can be pressed with all system-compliant pressing machines. As a processor, you are therefore free to choose the machine you want.
