Hermann Schmidt GmbH & Co KG is a family-run company in Essen with around 70 employees and is one of the most important suppliers to the German specialist wholesale trade for building services/sanitary and heating. Three pillars still form the basis of its success today:

The production of fittings and valves, export to the most important international markets and the function as a factory representative for German and foreign manufacturers of high-quality products for domestic installations.

Your tasks

Responsibility for receivables management, in particular credit assessment, monitoring of credit limits, cooperation with credit insurers
Checking and posting travel expense reports
Cash management
Accounts payable for our property management, contact person for tenants
Payment transactions
Support for monthly & year-end closing
Vacation replacement accounts payable

Your qualification

Successfully completed training as a tax clerk (m/f/d), accountant (m/f/d) or equivalent commercial training
First professional experience, affinity for numbers
Confident handling of Microsoft Office and DATEV
Quick comprehension and flexibility
Independent, careful and structured way of working
Communicative skills
Ability to work in a team, initiative, resilience and a high sense of responsibility
