Under the common umbrella and building on the strategic potential and core competencies, the business areas are developed and expanded independently. We own over 7 brands – from the well-known HSE fittings brand to the innovative Vortex brand for service water pumps. Hermann Schmidt employs around 70 people and is based in the heart of the Ruhr region in Essen.
We have been known as a specialist for fittings for decades and supply our quality products to a wide range of industries that primarily process steel threaded pipes.
We primarily operate the heating business as a factory agency for well-known manufacturers. Today, this division also includes our own bathroom and designer radiator business under the Caldo radiator brand.
The Sanitary Equipment division has its origins in the factory agency business. In addition, we operate our own business under the S.I.T. Sanitary Technology brand for products made of plastic.
As a renowned supplier of quality fittings, we have more than 30 years of experience. Our focus is on brass fittings for domestic applications and gunmetal fittings for industrial installations.
