Press fittings

In addition to high-quality taps, heaters, sinks, hot water appliances, toilet seats and cisterns for the sanitary sector, you will also find press fittings as a pipe connection solution in our diverse range. Thanks to the large selection, a wide range of requirements and wishes can be met. The products provide you with reliable, high-quality solutions that save you time, money and effort.

Advantages of using press fittings

Press fittings offer numerous advantages that make them a popular choice for connecting pipes in different environments and applications. First and foremost is the aspect of fast, efficient and flexible installation. The installation of the fittings does not require any time-consuming preparatory work or complicated procedures such as welding or soldering. All that is needed is a pressing machine to apply pressure to the fittings. This ultimately creates a firm and, above all, tight connection between the pipes and the fitting. In order to install press fittings properly, fitters should be experienced or have dealt with this in detail. This enables precise pressing processes and, as a result, tight connections that guarantee secure seals. Reliable connection solutions can prevent leaks in piping systems and thus ensure the integrity of the systems.

Areas of application

Another aspect that should not be underestimated is its versatility. Common and possible areas include drinking water systems, sanitary installations, heating and cooling systems, fire extinguishing systems, industrial applications, the oil and gas industry, power generation and many more. Consequently, wherever pipes are used and require connection options. On page 5 of the catalog, you will find an overview of the areas of application for which the various press fittings in our range are suitable. All models can be used for heating and cooling systems and the Press Inox V and Press Inox M prove to be true all-rounders.

High quality press fittings

Our press fittings meet even the highest demands, as they have a perfect fit and can withstand even the most demanding conditions. We supply robust press fittings made of copper, carbon steel and stainless steel. In addition to V-contour and M-contour versions, we also offer HD contours (the Press Steel HD). A distinction is made between the Copper Aquagas, Inox and Steel models for those with V and M contours.

Sealing rings

There are also the associated sealing rings, also known as O-rings, which differ in terms of their dimensions and areas of application, among other things. They play a crucial role as they are placed in the fittings and rest against the pipes. As soon as the pressing machine exerts pressure on the fittings, the pipe ends are pressed into the fitting body and the sealing rings are compressed. If done correctly, neither liquids nor gases can escape from the pipes. The different variants of the sealing rings are made of either ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM), fluororubber (FPM/FKM) or hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR). These elastomer materials are highly resistant to various media and are extremely flexible. Different sealing ring materials enable the versatile use of press fittings with water, gases, oil, chemicals and other media. In addition, material defects are minimized, as the pressure is evenly distributed by the O-rings, which in turn can compensate for irregularities or material defects in the pipes and fittings. Thanks to the rings, the connections are also protected against vibrations, temperature fluctuations and other stresses, as the elasticity of the rubber allows the pipes to move to a certain extent.

The difference between V-contour and M-contour

Depending on the manufacturer’s instructions or corresponding recommendations, either the V or M contour is suitable for the respective installation. These terms refer to the shape of the press profiles for press fittings. The distinction is important for the compatibility of the press connections with the tools intended for this purpose. The former are characterized by the V-shaped profile on the inside, which matches the V-shaped pressing profile on the pressing jaws of the pressing tool. The same applies to the other variant with an M-shaped profile. The design provides an increased contact surface so that the pressing pressure is distributed evenly.

Our press connectors

The Copper Aquagas is our copper model, which is certified for both water and gas. This can lead to a halving of stock levels, which also promises fast and uncomplicated logistics. As this copper fitting is suitable for gas and water, there is no risk of confusion when choosing the right press connector. The Inox is made of high-alloy, austenitic, stainless chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel, while the Steel is made of unalloyed steel and galvanized with a zinc coating to protect against external corrosion. The Press Inox V stainless steel fitting is considered to be even more flexible as it can be used for drinking water and heating pipes. Like the Copper Aquagas , this can save a considerable amount of storage space; not only in the construction site vehicle, but also at the wholesale collection points. In the catalogs you will find further details on the individual models and versions, such as sockets, bends, sealing caps, T-pieces and many more.
